Bringing people together.

This week, I had the pleasure of bringing some great people together: clients, friends, colleagues. It seems that so often people are afraid of sharing their relationships. Whether it’s been in business or personally, in my experience, many don’t like to share. There’s that fear that a relationship may prefer one person over another, that fear of what they will say when I am not around. I have always believed that if one person gets better, then we all get better. We all do better by being together. Now, this does not mean that we all need to agree on […]

Appreciated

What is it about a simple thank you that makes people feel so good – that warm feeling inside that you get when you feel appreciated? I had a meeting with a client and friend this week who was having a difficult time: Life. Business. Family. Just all around difficult. We sat and talked for a while. He asked my opinion on several things. I gave him my view. It was a difficult discussion, but a good one. As we were leaving, he looked at me, gave me a hug, and said, “Thanks, Jeremy. Thanks for listening and always giving […]

Calm

Many years ago, Prince Charles, while traveling in Australia, was shot at by a man in the crowd. On January 26, 1994, he was attending Australia Day celebrations in Sydney when a man suddenly raised a starter pistol and fired two blank shots directly in the Prince’s direction. The assailant was a 24-year-old university student protesting the treatment of asylum seekers in Australia. Though the gun only fired blanks, no one in the crowd – or in Charles’ security detail – initially knew that. For those few seconds, it appeared to be an assassination attempt. But what stood out in that frozen moment was Prince […]

November 2025 Market & Economic Recap

Stock Market Equities finished November mixed, with major indices showing only modest movement amid a volatile month. For the month, the market’s three major indices performed as follows: S&P 500: +0.1% The Dow: +0.32% Nasdaq: –1.5% The month began with a notable pullback—particularly in the Nasdaq—but a strong late-month rebound helped recover a large portion of those early losses. Despite the rally, the Nasdaq still declined nearly 2% for the month, ending its seven-month winning streak. Concerns over elevated tech valuations weighed on risk appetite, contributing to the underperformance. In contrast, both the S&P 500 and the Dow posted slight gains, extending their own winning […]

Growing up, I don’t remember…

Growing up, I don’t remember being heard much or even feeling loved. Now, make no bones about it, today, as an adult, I know I was. My family just struggled to share that. However, the lack of feeling loved and wanted is still within me, all these years later. Not having those feelings or memories has affected me as a man. The pros are that I am able to focus under pressure for long periods of time – courage under fire. The cons are that I struggle to find happiness in most things. More money. Eh.  More free time. Eh.  […]

The Greatest Day of my Life

The greatest day of my life was the day my daughter was born. I actually created a person! But I was also intent on making sure she would not be like me. She was not going to have my struggles, my pain. Instead, when she was born, she was perfect. But as time has passed and she is older, the thing is, she is a lot like me. The difference is now I get to help mold her and help her be the best at whatever she tries and wants to be. At 12 years of age, she has her […]

Innovation

Innovation will never replace conversation. I was recently with a client of mine who has gone through a series of rough challenges: the loss of a loved one, business challenges, financial and other setbacks. ‘Things he never thought he would experience today and at this stage in his life. We started talking about where he came from, where he is today, and where he wants to be in the future. He was getting stuck on the last part – his legacy – as he was clouded by the here and now, limited by the feelings and emotions he was dealing […]

Be what you need.

Are frustrated with where you are today?  Personally, professionally, financially? Well, I say be what you need to solve the way you are feeling today. You hold the power to get past it, to change those feelings. For instance, I’ve started meditating daily. Every morning, before I look at the news or email or my text messages, I re-focus on what I need from myself for that day. In that morning calm, I visualize who I am and what I am meant to do and be. It’s a different approach. Often times, it’s difficult to just sit there and focus […]

My Dog

My dog died on Sunday. She was only seven years old. To say the least, this has been a very challenging year. Very. In speaking with my coach about this and just how I’ve been feeling in general, he said something that really resonated: “Jeremy, sometimes you need a real extreme to wake up and make changes.” Meaning, did I cherish the time with my dog enough? Have I done all that I need to do to make this year the best possible? What behaviors have I continued to exhibit that keep the veil of success down, rather than showing me […]
