Always Moving Forward

I always park backing my vehicle in – with the tail of my vehicle in and the front facing out. This is symbolic of how I try to live my life: always moving forward, I never want to go backwards. In life, symbols (and how we use them to consciously direct our lives) are as important as the actions we take. It’s about how we set up our day, week, month, and year. For instance, in our business, we have a very strong business plan. That does NOT mean everyday things will always go according to plan. Some days, we […]

Choose Success

“Your abilities might give you potential, but your choices demonstrate your character, courage, or kindness.” That quote exhibits the concept of action over ability. This is something that I try to teach my kids, team members, and those I mentor. You can have all the natural gifts in the world. BUT if you don’t put in the work, those gifts will go to waste. True Friendship

The definition of true friendship is doing what needs to be done when no one is looking. It entails being the person who checks in every now and again, just to say hello. Effort and Attitude

Effort and attitude. Those are two of the core fundamentals for success in anything you do. This is something that has served as my North Star my entire life. And I’ve tried to instill the same in my kids. Recently, this has been a real struggle. Both of my kids are very gifted. They are both very different kids, but gifted, nonetheless. So how does one instill these core values? We have done a great job with device management. Both of my kids sit at the dinner table in a restaurant without tablets, phones, etc. They are engaged (most of […]

January 2026 Market & Economic Recap

Stock Market What a year it’s been already – and it’s only January! To some, the past month has felt like far more than 31 days on Wall Street, and for good reason through a headline-filled, volatile start to 2026. Stocks pulled back on Friday, the last trading day of the month, as technology shares continued to struggle, even as investors generally welcomed President Donald Trump’s selection of Kevin Warsh to lead the Federal Reserve. Despite Friday’s losses and the volatility that defined much of the month, the major indexes managed to finish January in positive territory. S&P 500 +1.4% […]
