I forgive you.

Forgiveness. It’s so difficult for most people – and yet so important for all of us. Holding on to those negative feelings and thoughts simply eats you up. It creates self-defeating behavior that is very difficult to get past. I never forgave my father for how he was involved (or lack thereof) in the lives of my sister and me. Then, in 2013, he died. My sister had taken on the brunt of his care, doing all for him that he needed, being available when the assisted living facility called. While I simply worked. I stayed away, did the minimum. […]

Bringing people together.

This week, I had the pleasure of bringing some great people together: clients, friends, colleagues. It seems that so often people are afraid of sharing their relationships. Whether it’s been in business or personally, in my experience, many don’t like to share. Appreciated

What is it about a simple thank you that makes people feel so good – that warm feeling inside that you get when you feel appreciated? I had a meeting with a client and friend this week who was having a difficult time: Life. Business. Family. Just all around difficult. We sat and talked for a while. He asked my opinion on several things. I gave him my view. It was a difficult discussion, but a good one. As we were leaving, he looked at me, gave me a hug, and said, “Thanks, Jeremy. Thanks for listening and always giving […]

Calm

Many years ago, Prince Charles, while traveling in Australia, was shot at by a man in the crowd. On January 26, 1994, he was attending Australia Day celebrations in Sydney when a man suddenly raised a starter pistol and fired two blank shots directly in the Prince’s direction. The assailant was a 24-year-old university student protesting the treatment of asylum seekers in Australia. Though the gun only fired blanks, no one in the crowd – or in Charles’ security detail – initially knew that. For those few seconds, it appeared to be an assassination attempt. But what stood out in that frozen moment was Prince […]

November 2025 Market & Economic Recap

Stock Market Equities finished November mixed, with major indices showing only modest movement amid a volatile month. For the month, the market’s three major indices performed as follows: S&P 500: +0.1% The Dow: +0.32% Nasdaq: –1.5% The month began with a notable pullback—particularly in the Nasdaq—but a strong late-month rebound helped recover a large portion of those early losses. Despite the rally, the Nasdaq still declined nearly 2% for the month, ending its seven-month winning streak. Concerns over elevated tech valuations weighed on risk appetite, contributing to the underperformance. In contrast, both the S&P 500 and the Dow posted slight gains, extending their own winning […]
