On average, Americans with a financial advisor retire two years earlier than without one. They also have twice as much money saved!¹
But, more importantly, the lift that people experience is more than just financial, it’s emotional, too.
People report that when working with a financial professional, they feel less stressed and have less anxiety, as well as more confidence that they will meet their financial goals. This has been well documented in a number of studies and articles across the industry.
So, what does all this really mean?
People need people.
The guidance, personal attention, and hand holding that comes with a professional relationship is both invaluable and irreplaceable.
Companies like Legal Zoom, online tax management services, and business management software still can’t replace that human interaction.
That one-on-one feeling of being “in it” together.
Can a self-help book replace a therapist?
No. But they can help answer certain questions and even assist in coming up with more. One way or another, they can help you get you closer to your ultimate goal, and that’s what’s most important.
So, I will continue to engage. Hold people accountable. Be myself.
And, most importantly, I’ll do my best to be genuine and show people how much I care.
