“Anything other than focusing on how to improve yourself is a waste of time. Focus and spend time on improving yourself, and don’t worry about what other people are doing or saying around you.” – Marcus Aurelius.
For the last three weeks, I’ve been in the gym every morning at 6 am, up between 5 and 5:30, and then in the gym by 6. I came out of my study group with a new drive and focus, not just on improving my business, but on my mental self as well as my physical self.
Now, I’ve always been big on exercise, working out, and eating pretty clean. But this is different. This is seven days a week, with a really driven focus on extreme improvement across all sides. Writing my book, Live Simpler, brought to the forefront a lot of things that I had thought about over the years and, in some cases, didn’t follow up on.
Every now and again, you need that reset. But it’s too easy when you’re coming into the end of any year to say, “I’ll do it next year.” It’s very easy to come into the fourth quarter of any year behind in your goals, whether personal, professional, or financial, and say, “You know what? I missed it. I’ll just do it next year.”
The choice I’ve made is to focus on the end of this year, to improve and run all the way through the stripe in every aspect of my life (personal, professional, financial, and physical). I am committed to being 100% focused all the way through.
I challenge everyone reading today’s post with the same thing: make the next three months your best three months, and roll that momentum into 2027 (can’t believe I’m saying that).
Make this year, this week, and this day the best one.
Then make next year even better than this one.
Happy Friday!
