How can you skyrocket into 2023?
Focus on making 2022’s ceiling this year’s floor.
Personally, professionally, and, most certainly, financially, nothing feels better than achieving something significant.
That all starts with setting (and writing down, setting up accountability systems, etc.) goals. Without them, how would you know how well you are doing?
One of my mentors, Harry, once said, “Imagine a career in sales with no contests. It would be like running a marathon or training for one and not knowing the distance you had to go.”
Humans, by nature, crave that. We’re hard-wired to both seek and respond to adulation and/or recognition.
And the best form of those concepts, I have found, is intrinsic – the goals, passions, and dreams that come from the inside. The fire!
However, when we focus too much on the external noise, it can lead to diminishing motivation, poor decision-making, and, ultimately, robs us of any meaning, even if we somehow come out victorious.
That said, lean into being the best version of yourself in 2023, not just for you but for how it will emanate and affect those around you and the people you love.
What was your ceiling for 2022? Make that your floor for 2023. Always move forward – never back.
Try something new. Get out of your comfort zone. Commit.
Stretch and expand your thinking. Think bigger, and then bigger again.
The sky is the limit once you do.
Happy New Year!
