Kitty Hoffman

Kitty Hoffman

Kitty spent most of her early years in Cupertino, CA (the heart of Silicon Valley) back when they actually had orchards. After finishing her undergraduate studies, she did a five year stint with Hewlett-Packard, only leaving to pursue her Master’s degree (emphasis in Finance and Taxation), at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Once she completed her studies there, she found it hard to leave the beauty and slow pace of the San Luis Obispo area, specifically Paso Robles, CA. Moving from a big city to a small town, she found herself facing a career change. She began in the field of taxation in 1985 and expanded her practice into the investment arena in 1999.

Her focus is on helping individuals in many aspects of the financial arena, all while considering the tax ramifications that may result. A majority of her practice involves managing assets on a discretionary basis. She takes a more conservative approach when investing for her clients because she feels the volatility often resulting from risk is something uncomfortable for many of her clients. She focuses on the client’s total picture which often involves strategies to minimize taxes, all while carrying out a specific plan.

In her spare time she enjoys designing houses, and she finds doing crossword puzzles to be very relaxing.”
