” Dow tumbles more than 260 points after strong jobs report reignites rate hike fears.”
-The media.
Is anyone else tired of all the noise?
I, for one, certainly am.
Dow tumbles 260 points. Are you kidding me?!
The need for the news to write about things that simply create fear and elevate emotion is remarkable.
For clients, can you imagine how concerning some of these words can be?
For advisors and others, it’s just simply frustrating.
How about the media tries something new for a change…. actually reporting the news! Give us unbiased facts about what’s happening in the markets and in the world.
Instead, all of this simply allows for human emotion to take control.
Fear begins guiding decision-making, and frustration permeates our days.
I’m not here saying all things are great all the time; certainly, we are living in incredibly challenging times. But at the end of the day, all of us have to look in the mirror and either be happy with where we are or not. We choose to start our day from a position of strength instead of weakness.
Keep things in perspective. Stay positive. Focus on all the wonderful things that are going on in your life with your family and your business.
There certainly is more good than there is bad.
Happy Friday!
