What is it about a simple thank you that makes people feel so good – that warm feeling inside that you get when you feel appreciated?
I had a meeting with a client and friend this week who was having a difficult time:
Life. Business. Family. Just all around difficult.
We sat and talked for a while. He asked my opinion on several things. I gave him my view.
It was a difficult discussion, but a good one.
As we were leaving, he looked at me, gave me a hug, and said, “Thanks, Jeremy. Thanks for listening and always giving your honest view, even if we don’t always agree.”
Just thanks.
The simplest act of kindness can be just that.
As we enter into the holidays and approach the end of the year, I urge you to embrace that feeling of thanks.
The warmth one gets is irreplaceable.
